ROCKS
Another break-away from the norm series I did were rocks painted in acrylic and fixed with magnetic strips on the back to use as refrigerator magnets.
ET CETERA
3D ART
I like to occasionally break up the routine of my canvas painting by going off on some unrelated idea to play with various media and different painting surfaces. I would classify these as art to be placed about on tables and such, rather than hung on walls.
MONSTUROS & MORE
A friend convinced me to accept a challenge to build a creature from paper mache, which led to a series of ideas derived from looking at a box or a container, and visualizing something I called a 'Monsturo'. All these were constructed from discarded boxes, tape rolls and other throw away items. My technique improved as I experimented with different recipes to make mache. Final process was to paint and seal with clear acrylic paint.
MORE MACHE
I continued working with
paper mache, creating more
common objects, like this
cigarette butt, approx. 14" tall.
WOOD
I enjoy creating work on wood
for hanging or resting on tables.
Series of wood blocks to stack
with varying designs on each side
for multiple combinations to
display.
