My typical procedure for creating a new website for someone is to chat with them a bit, either by phone or through email correspondence, to get to know their product/service they wish to promote. I notate all data provided as well as data needed (do they have a logo? Do they need images relevant to their product/service?) for the site and gather what is available.
Next step is to begin with the basic layout/color scheme of a typical page on the site. I post pages on the back end of my website so clients can view them online without actually having the site live.
Once all the criteria is layed out, I can put the site live. I keep a backup archive of the site for the client and if needed, update info, pic, etc. for them. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
